It’s now been 2 months since our whole lives got flipped and turned upside down. Needless to say we’ve been going a little stir-crazy over here with everything being closed due to the pandemic. These past couple of months have definitely been challenging to navigate through this new and uncertain time.
The silver lining has been all this amazing quality time with my family, but it’s been challenging feeling like I’m trapped in the house and trying to finding new ways to keep Soleil entertained at home everyday. It definitely helps to know that we’re not alone and we’re in this together as many of us are facing the same situation.
Today I wanted to share some of the activities we’ve been doing at home to keep Soleil entertained. As these crazy days go on I have to remind myself that even though everything feels so uncertain, creating fun memories together as a family is the most important thing and I am blessed to have them. Hope you mamas are coping well with this lockdown and I pray we can get back to seeing our people soon. Lots of love!
1. Painting fun!
Let your little one find their inner Picasso. Soleil had too much fun finger painting with these natural edible paints. I love that their organic and made from fruits & veggies because a good amount of it ended up in her mouth.

2. Montessori Play Area
If you saw my previous post here you know how much we love Montessori. Soleil loves to start her day out here playing with her developmental toys and listening to her Mozart for toddlers CDs.

3. Have a backyard picnic.
This was such a great way for us to spend some quality time together as a family and to get some fresh air & Vitamin D. I whipped up a nice little spread of cheese, crackers and fruits and we were good to go. To take it up a notch bring out a blanket, some pillows and a portable speaker and enjoy that sunshine!

4. Dance Dance Dance!
For those of you who follow me on IG, you know how much I love a good dance party (see here and here)! Turning up the music and having a dance party after Ryan’s done work has been a nice way to end the day.

5. Kiddie pool / ball pit fun
This pink flamingo has brought so much joy into our lives. I originally bought 2 to use for Soleil’s bday party, but now we use them both on the daily. I set up one of them as a ball pit, where Soleil has a few toys in there to play with. It has been perfect for her to have some independent play and works wonders when I need so time to get dinner done. I just set her in there and she has a ball ;). The second one we use as her kiddie pool in our backyard. Soleil plays in there and goes back and forth between her water table and pool for hours.

No kiddie pool? No worries bring out the garden hose for some sprinkler fun!
