Utah for the Holidays

Hellooooo 2017!! Hope you all had an amazing holiday season and fantastic new year so far! I spent the holidays over in Utah with my husband’s family. Being a Canadian gal I am so used to having a white Christmas every year and Utah did not disappoint. When we arrived on Christmas eve it was raining with no snow on the ground at all. A little before midnight the snow started to fall and by morning it was like I was in a snowglobe. There was so much snow everywhere it was magical white Christmas. Apparently there was a record broken for the most snowfall on Christmas day in 100 years. It was the second snowiest Utah Christmas on record, according to National Weather Service Salt Lake City. The record was set on Christmas Day 1916. So it was pretty much a winter wonderland in Utah. Every street looked majestic and all the trees were covered with snow piling on the branches. It was picture perfect. My mother in law Dorina and I stopped by this restaurant Tuscany and the snow was just breath taking surrounding the area. The restaurant looked like it was a cabin tucked away in the snow, high on a mountain or something. Just stunning! Be sure to check this spot for fine Italian dining if you’re ever in the Salt Lake City area. We had a fabulous time taking pics with all the snow and walking around the grounds.

That’s my sweet and beautiful mother in law Dorina. So sweet of her to take my pics for the blog and she even suggested this location to shoot. I think she needs her own blog too! Am I right? 😉 Love her!
