It’s about that time, the temperature is rising, skirts are getting shorter and colors are getting bolder aka my favorite time of the year. Hands down summertime is my most-loved time for personal style expression. I absolutely love wearing bold bright colors and statement making prints. Lots of style maven’s love fall fashion, because of all the texture and layering that can be done to achieve a look. Not for this lady. I’m a summer baby all the way and summertime fashion just suits my lifestyle and personality. I’m sure plenty of you are just like me and feel that summertime is your time to shine. Which means it’s time to get Summertime fly.
I’m a lover of bright colors, the brighter the better I say. As far as prints go I can’t get enough of rainbow stripes and floral prints at the moment. Rainbow stripes are trending so much right now and I’m obsessed with the styles over at Mara Hoffman. Mara Hoffman is the all time queen of summery prints. Every year I’m blown away by her summer line when it comes out, and this year she didn’t disappoint with all this rainbow lovin’. Mara Hoffman items are made out of linen so I would suggest that for those super hot summer days and nights. Milly also has a fun rainbow print dress that just screams “fun fun fun” at you. The dress is made out of a thicker almost sweater like fabric. I wouldn’t recommend wearing this dress in the middle of summer when the temperature is sky rocketing or if you’re traveling to a really humid location like Tulum or Miami.
I’m a sucker for floral print dresses. They just “get” me lol and are a great way to add some Summertime fly to the closet. The colors and the vibrancy mixed with the romantic and feminine style makes me feel beautiful wearing them while making a statement. I usually don’t wear much yellow but this J.O.A number changed my ways. It comes in the perfect shade of summery yellow with ruffles along the neckline and sleeves. The style of the dress is so pretty with ladder lace inserts and a peplum style skirt. Seriously just so adorable and perfect for a summer picnic.
How perfect would this Parker Floral dress be for a wedding guest? I fell in love with the train detail on the back. You will get a lot of compliments wearing this dress trust me. It’s a show stopper, with the high low hem and that print just pops.
In my perfect summer wardrobe land, where I could wear anything I choose, it would be rompers. I could wear rompers all day during the long summer months. They’re just so fun, comfortable and stylish. Who ever invented the romper big kudos to you for putting a dress and shorts together, just brilliant.
I’ve rounded up some of my favorite summer items below as well as the items I’m pictured in this post.
Enjoy getting summertime fly. Shine bright xo
