If staying in the jungle is not for you, here are some beachfront properties as another option. My husband and I stayed at these spot and it was good to switch it up and see a different side of Tulum. I thoroughly enjoyed our casita in the jungle, but the fresh ocean breeze was calling.

Nest Tulum

Nest Tulum is a very rustic and bohemian vibe option. The hotel has a real guest house feel to it in quite a laid back setting. Each bungalow is individually styled and set amidst tropical foliage and sandy walkways. As you exit your bungalow you’re greeted with sand between your feet, making it seem as if you’re always on the beach. With the minimalistic design and unique furnishings, Nest is quite different from all the other hotels on the beach strip. Making it’s mark with it’s very own uniqueness.

The Bungalow we stayed in is the Garden Villa. It has two floors with a living room and private deck. The breakfast included was delicious with very healthy options. The omelette was just amazing and filled with grilled veggies. Loved starting our day with a full breakfast and stunning ocean views.

Alma Tulum

Alma Tulum is a romantic beachfront option that won’t fail to please. The decor is very standard with a canopy bed and white linens. There isn’t anything too different about this hotel but that doesn’t make it any less amazing.

We stayed in the Arena Master Suite. I loved how the ocean was just steps away and I could listen to the waves from our private hammock.
