Green smoothie bowl

I came across Amazing Grass Green Superfood when I was in my local Whole Foods. They had a little set-up where you could try their products in juice. I purchased the Green Superfood powder as a way to add more greens into my diet. It was just after the holiday season and I was feeling super sluggish and wanted to get back into a healthy lifestyle. I’ve used Spirulina powder as a green supplement in the past. I love Spirulina too but sometimes I just need to switch it up. I also like having the Green Superfood first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. I’ll take a scoop with water so my body can absorb it and get all the nutrients right away. If the taste is a bit much for you, you can add it to juice. What I’ve noticed so far is that it’s a great source of natural energy and gives my skin that boost and glow. Check them out here. I’d like to try their Organic Wheatgrass next. I’ll keep you guys posted when I do.

Green Smoothie Bowl

Makes 2

INGREDIENTS

1/2 ripe avocado

1/2 – 1 cup almond milk

3/4 cup of berries (blueberries/strawberries/raspberries)

1 teaspoon Amazing Grass Green Superfood

2 medium ripe frozen bananas

2 large handfuls spinach

*Toppings like coconut flakes, cacao nibs, berries, fruits and nuts.

DIRECTIONS

Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Be sure to use frozen bananas for a thicker texture.

Top with all your favorite toppings and enjoy!
