Black and White Gallery Wall

My husband and I moved into our new home a couple of months ago, and immediately upon seeing the space with all the white walls I knew that we had to have a gallery wall. We decided to stick with black and white prints to pop against all that white. The hardest part was finding all the art that we both liked and worked together. The first print I fell in love with was this elephant print from Love Warriors “Adele”. The white dots on her trunk are just so artistic and adds a playful element to the wall. This print shipped from Sweden and arrived in about a week. The palm print I already had from our old place and was still so loving it. It adds a natural chapter to the story told on our wall. This print is from Laure Joliet. All her prints are stunning! The surfer dude print is of my hubby surfing down in Mexico. It was a great way to incorporate one of us into the story.  The waves print is from Leah Flores Art, it’s so relaxing I get lost in the waves just staring at it. You can check out her art here.

The giraffe is my husbands favorite print. It makes us laugh so much, we named him Henry. He pops out from the edge of the wall as if he’s saying “Heyyyy what’s upppp? lol. Henry came from New Zealand from Hector Rose.

The last piece and this could be my favorite of them all is Ikaros from Swedish artist Magdalena Tyboni. I’m obsessed with all things angels and I love the story of Ikaros or Icarus. Do you know the story of Ikaros? Who flew too close to the sun and burnt the wings his father had constructed for him and fell into the sea. I love the message behind it of not flying too high or too low but staying in that middle zone. Stay balanced and humble. I love the story of our gallery wall, it adds such a playful, calming and inspirational aspect to our home.

So that’s it for the gallery wall. Have you guys made a gallery wall in your home? Share yours and the story behind it below.

XO
