My husband and I traveled to Scottsdale over Thanksgiving and had a fun filled time with family. We stayed at the Andaz Scottsdale Resort & Spa and spent most of our time pool side. You can see why from the pictures right? The resort opened earlier this year and has made the highly coveted Conde Nast Traveller Hot List for 2017 and after staying there I completely understand why. From the attentive staff to the tantalizing eats at Weft + Warp Art Bar the resort blew away all expectations we had of a good time.
Arriving at the resort I was taken away by the hip mid-century modern style of decor. It reminded me of Palm Springs but with a modern twist. Our bungalow style guest room was spacious and artfully designed with two patios allowing for ample amount of places to relax in.
There are three pools at the Andaz Scottsdale. The largest of them is the Turquoise Pool Bar, where we spent most of our time. This pool is very family friendly and we enjoyed using the fun pool toys available. Having a cocktail at the Turquoise Pool Bar followed by the sunset surrounding awe-inspiring views of the Camelback Mountain was simply magical. Now add ” The Dusty Ramblers Project” band playing some chilled out sundown tunes live. Yes! Some seriously good times were definitely had! Lounging and dining at the Weft + Warp Art Bar was also quite the experience. Can we talk about the decor? My goodness! So well done with a very eclectic and artsy vibe and the food was just plate lickin’ good all thanks to chef Sheff. I mean his name says it all right?
The second pool is located at the Palo Verde Spa & Apothecary. With all the Thanksgiving events we had to attend with family I didn’t have a chance to get any treatments at the spa. From what I could see the apothecary style bar at the entry was a guest favorite. Spa goers were chatting with the spa attendants curating an aromatherapy experience for their treatments. A personalized touch I will definitely have to come back for. The third pool is located in the retreat which seems to be a sort of resort within the resort. It’s for private events like weddings, where a group can use the pool, secluded guest rooms, and event space.
From the many indulgences available like the complimentary Tesla transportation service, complimentary GoPro rental or the roving carts providing complimentary sweet and savory treats, I have to say the service we were shown was by far my favorite. The staff at the Andaz Scottsdale were all so friendly and welcoming, which really made us feel so comfortable and at home in this luxurious setting.
